Hey there! I’m Dave, your friendly neighborhood IT guy. I’ve been knee-deep in the world of technology since the early 2000s (remember dial-up internet? Ahh, the good old days!). Over the years, I’ve gained a ton of experience—and, yes, a few fancy degrees and certifications along the way.

I started with an Associate’s in IT Networking, moved on to a Bachelor’s in Network Operations and Security, and then capped it off with a Master’s in Cybersecurity. I’ve also amassed a collection of certifications like they’re Pokémon cards: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Pentest+, CySA+, plus I’m a CCNA-certified, Linux-loving, AWS Cloud Practitioner. Oh, and I even know my way around ITIL for IT management. In short, if it involves tech, I’ve probably tinkered with it.

But enough about my credentials—let’s talk about why I’m here. My mission is simple: to make IT less intimidating and more understandable for everyone. I firmly believe that technology shouldn’t feel like an exclusive club with a secret handshake. Whether you’re a seasoned pro who’s been around the block or someone who’s still not entirely sure what “the cloud” is (don’t worry, it’s not just a fluffy thing in the sky), I’ve got your back.

On this blog, you’ll find everything from tech support tips to guides on staying safe online, insights into IT security, advice on navigating Windows 11, and even the inside scoop on password managers. It’s all about taking the fear out of tech, one post at a time.

So, if you’ve ever felt like tech was too complicated, I’m here to break it down and show you that IT doesn’t have to be scary—especially with me around! Let’s tackle this digital world together, and maybe even have some fun along the way.

Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to making your tech journey a little less terrifying and a lot more manageable.

Stay tuned, and welcome to Dave in IT!
